FIND YOUR HOME IN HOME CARE: STAFF STORIES

Angela Hall, OT
Atrio Home Health
When Angela Hall decided she wanted a career in occupational therapy, it was apparent she would need a flexible job schedule that would allow her to go to school and work to pay for her education. It was then that she started a role as a private duty aide for one of Atrio’s predecessor agencies, Clark at Home. “One thing I really liked about being a private duty aide was the ability to pick up shifts when I was able to based on my schedule for school. The flexibility of that,” she noted.
Angela also emphasized how being in a client’s home on her own helped her learn to foster relationships. “Developing those relationships is so key to me now — being comfortable with different cultures, learning about them, not being afraid to ask questions, and being sensitive to their individual private care needs.” Angela enjoyed the work so much that after graduating, she wanted to stay in the home care business and she came back to work at Atrio Home Health Lakeshore where she now serves as an Occupational Therapist for Atrio Home Health.
