Atrio Home Care and Brio Living Services have solidified a strategic partnership that will align all home health care operations under the Atrio name. This move will help us expand access, strengthen services, and advance a shared commitment to serving our neighbors here in West Michigan.

Atrio Home Care is a collaboratively owned organization of Trillium Living, a collective dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors. Under this new ownership structure, Trillium Living will maintain its majority stake, while Brio Living Services and Resthaven will each retain a 20% equity interest.

Patients receiving care through Porter Hills Home Health Care, operated by Brio Living Services, are not expected to experience any disruption. Services will continue under Atrio, and additional details related to staffing, referrals and operations will be shared as needed through the transition.

“We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible for patients, families and team members while continuing to deliver the high-quality care our communities depend on,” said Mike Hamilton, executive director of Atrio Home Care.

With this partnership, Atrio will represent the only remaining non-hospital-based nonprofit home health provider in West Michigan, reinforcing our commitment to community-focused, mission-driven care.

At Atrio, we have always focused on ensuring that no senior in our community feels forgotten or unsupported. This new partnership will allow us to expand our reach and help more adults age with comfort and dignity in the homes they love.

In 2024, we served 2,816 people. As the aging population continues to grow, the need and importance of our services will also increase. By 2035, adults will outnumber those 18 and younger for the first time in our nation’s history, and the strain on the economy, healthcare system, and government programs will be felt even more. By providing compassionate, expert care, we help seniors in our community age with dignity, comfort, and joy.

Supporting Independence & Recovery At Home

More and more aging adults are hoping to age in their homes. Our services allow them to maintain their independence, comfort, and safety. The care we provide is personalized based on each client’s needs. Some may need help with cooking and cleaning, others may need help running errands and getting to doctor’s appointments. We also provide skilled services like rehabilitation and therapies to help seniors continue their recovery from injury, illness, or surgery.

Going Beyond Care

Loneliness, isolation, and boredom are three of the most detrimental factors affecting today’s seniors. Our staff provides services that directly counteract these issues. But, the impact that you have doesn’t stop with those you directly serve. It also brings peace of mind to their loved ones who may not live close or be able to provide day-to-day support for them. 

This is a generation that has shaped our communities, shared their wisdom, and given so much of themselves to the world around them. Our seniors have taught us valuable lessons, from the importance of hard work to the beauty of simple joys.
