WHAT IS ATRIO HOME HEALTH?

Atrio Home Health is here for seniors and their loved ones following an illness, injury, or surgery by providing in-home health services that help people get back to feeling their best. In collaboration with their physician or specialist, we create a plan to aid in our patients’ recovery from the comfort of their own home.

Our expert team of nurses, aides, and therapists will evaluate and treat movement impairments and provide the guidance you need to help meet your goals. Physical therapists work with each client to create a home exercise program and have experience working with cardiac, vestibular, incontinence, Parkinson’s, and medically complex clients.

After being discharged from in-patient treatment, our team will meet you where you are and work to help you achieve the highest level of independence and quality of life possible.

Registered nurses deliver a broad range of comprehensive skilled nursing care at home to clients with complex medical and surgical diagnoses, such as respiratory illness or disease. Our nurses advocate for their clients and work in coordination with all of their physicians. The care they provide includes wound assessments, cardiopulmonary assessments, and psychiatric and palliative care services.

Our nurses follow evidence-based treatment protocols and use clinically proven medications and products to help improve patient comfort and optimize healing time.

For those with chronic health conditions and complex care needs, including those in need of medical social services, Atrio will help coordinate in-home care. Our team starts with a comprehensive assessment of each person’s needs for health and social support and then implement an individualized care plan

Occupational therapy promotes a person’s ability to perform daily activities by maximizing function. These include therapeutic activities to promote independence in bathing, dressing, grooming, home management, client/caregiver education, and pain reduction. We also provide Lee Silverman Voice Treatment for Parkinson’s and access to durable medical equipment.

Physical, social, and living changes that come along with aging may impact one’s mental health. Our team consists of nurses that are specifically trained in field of behavioral and supports those experiencing varying levels of depression, isolation, anxiety, trauma, and dementia.

Our registered dieticians will provide nutritional guidance to promote dietary choices that lead to a more rewarding lifestyle.

Using VitalTech healthcare solutions, we are able to assess our clients’ vitals virtually. This remote evaluation decreases hospitalizations and provides peace of mind for clients and their families. Click below to learn more about our offerings.

Our team will assess each individual’s understanding of and ability to self-administer their medications and develop strategies to ensure all medications are appropriately utilized. Our team will share these strategies with the patient, family members, and any caregivers.

Speech therapy promotes improvement in speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing.

Through our partner, Dementia Institute, our staff undergo specialty dementia care training that focuses on empowerment, authenticity, and compassion, leading to better communication, engagement, and care for our clients living with all stages of dementia as well as support for their loved ones.

Qualifying & Paying for Services

Home health care must be prescribed by a doctor, and clients must meet the qualifications determined by a home health evaluation. If a person qualifies, Medicare and many other insurance plans will cover the cost of Atrio Home Health services. For every new client whose physician has recommended or prescribed in-home health care, Atrio Home Care will perform a home and safety evaluation.
